Climate Tech

Live data. Real impact. Verified nature credits for the blue economy.

Latitude Blue deploys purpose-built climate technologies that deliver continuous, traceable data streams, turning marine biodiversity into a measurable and reportable asset. Our tailored climate tech solutions adapt to each project site- whether decommissioning zones, offshore platforms, shipping corridors, or marine renewables ensuring operators capture the right metrics for compliance, ESG performance, and transition planning.

  • CHARM Robotics: Autonomous robotics and AI provide real-time, high-resolution monitoring of reef structures, coral health, and ecosystem resilience.

  • PlanBlue: High-resolution seabed imaging verifies habitat condition and biodiversity uplift, generating datasets that are auditable and disclosure-ready.

Together, these tools enhanced by eDNA monitoring that provides species-level biodiversity diagnostics with molecular precision, create a live MRV infrastructure that feeds directly into annual disclosure reporting. This ensures ecological outcomes are not only measurable in real time, but also verifiable, auditable, and fully aligned with sustainability standards.

Nature-Based
Solutions

Implementing biodiversity and carbon permanence as a driver of financial value creation in nature markets, the Marine Biodiversity Credit (MBC) provides industry with a turnkey solution that converts marine liabilities into verifiable, reportable, and investable outcomes.

By embedding biodiversity uplift directly into operational frameworks, the MBC enables offshore operators to move beyond baseline compliance toward global leadership in nature-positive transition planning. Its modular design makes it effective for scale, adapting seamlessly across geographies, asset types, and lifecycle stages while maintaining integrity, traceability, and assurance under emerging sustainability frameworks including ASRS/ AASB S2, TNFD, ISSB, and the Global Biodiversity Framework (30×30).

Underwritten by Accounting for Nature and powered by PlanBlue’s high-resolution MRV system, the MBC ensures that ecological outcomes are not only scientifically transparent but also audit-grade, independently verified, and fully aligned with disclosure and assurance requirements.

Education & Innovation

Latitude Blue’s purpose-built robotics lab, coral nursery, and Coral Library at the Abrolhos Islands are designed to unlock the next frontier of marine science and industry collaboration. These facilities act as living platforms where real-time data capture meets ecological innovation, enabling us to not only conserve biodiversity but also to decode the role coral plays in the global carbon cycle.

The Coral Library, housed within our robotics lab and nursery, is the first of its kind in Western Australian. It is a living archive of endemic and heat-resilient coral species, established to safeguard biodiversity while producing the datasets needed to understand coral’s function as both an ecological keystone and a natural carbon sink.

Through continuous, high-resolution monitoring by CHARM Robotics and scientific stewardship from CSIRO, the Coral Library generates real-time ecological and carbon data that feeds directly into our MRV system. This ensures coral’s contribution to biodiversity uplift and carbon permanence is measurable, auditable, and reportable aligned with global sustainability and disclosure frameworks.

As both a conservation tool and a climate-tech platform, the Coral Library provides a foundation for education, academic research, and industry collaboration.

Partners

Latitude Blue works with a world-class network of partners who provide the scientific, governance, and commercial foundations to scale our solutions globally.

  • CSIRO: Leads scientific stewardship of our Coral Library and nursery, ensuring projects are guided by independent, peer-reviewed marine science.

  • Accounting for Nature (AfN): Underwrites ecological integrity with accredited methodologies, ensuring outcomes are audit-grade and transparent.

  • LUNA Studio / Tiger & Bear Group: Provides strategic representation, legal expertise, and growth support, positioning industry investment within a global sustainability narrative.

This partner ecosystem ensures that every project is not only technologically advanced, but also scientifically transparent, commercially scalable, and aligned with global sustainability frameworks.

Be BLUE
Program

When an offshore lease expires, companies are required to decommission and clear facilities, often removing marine ecosystems that have developed around these structures.

The Be BLUE Transition Program offers a future-focused alternative by repurposing platforms through habitat engineering, turning industrial infrastructure into viable ecological legacies. These reef systems support coral growth, benthic communities, and the wider food web, while also contributing to the carbon cycle.

Using metrics such as sediment accretion, carbonate deposition, and species productivity, combined with real-time MRV from robotics, imaging, and eDNA, we quantify and verify carbon storage in reef frameworks, benthic substrates, and sediments.

By combining science, engineering, and compliance, the BLUE Transition Program turns offshore infrastructure from an industrial obligation into an ecological legacy, embedding biodiversity uplift, carbon permanence, and community benefit into every stage of marine operations.
